MC Altair

MC Altair is the newest player in the MC Media Player range. It plays a single video file (progressive download or RTMP streaming).

This player is still in beta (v0.8) but is already being widely used. Version 1.0 should be released some time before the end of 2008.

The default player size is 480x270 pixels (16x9 aspect ratio), but can be resized to any dimensions and aspect ratio. At this stage it does not include a built-in playlist but you can create your own HTML playlists. Although the player is quite basic, it is very customizable and it contains the engine that will power the next multi-purpose player.
